Games entertain, teach and affect society. I am interested in the user experience - in translating complex ideas, informing and entertaining the player.
Whether they are to pass the time lining up lines on tiles to get to the center tile, laugh as duck tries to advise the king, train interviewers of human trafficking victims, entertain players in a haunted house, or educate about anti-semitism, games can and do make a difference.

ROYAL REVISOR
As a royal advisor, advise the king on various citizens' problems. BUT.. the king isn’t brilliant so he needs some extra help.

In Hex Trax, players work in teams of two to connect tracks on their tiles to a center tile. During turns, these players will use special tile abilities to sabotage their opponents and advance their own goals.

KDH:SD is a cooperative game where three players take on the roles of main characters Rumi, Zoey, and Mira to take down the demonic boy band Saja Boys. In the ultimate battle between dissonance and harmony, players draw cards to complete rhythms and punch down the Saja Boys verse by verse!
A 3D Virtual Reality project using C#, which simulates the experience of a lawyer speaking in front of a judge and jury. AI integrated for speech recognition and synthesis using OpenAI via Azure, enabling the virtual judge to respond interactively to the player acting as the lawyer.

The Game Development Club, under David Renton, the Computer Science Department Head, is working with a Microsoft program to create a Minecraft game aimed at protecting kids from online predators. We meet weekly programming the code.
